Instructions for creating an account and depositing – withdrawing money on OKX

How to register an account on OKX

Step 1

Go to OKX homepage: okx.com. Head to the OKX homepage’se top right corner and click Sign up.

Step 2

Enter your email address in the Email field.

Step 3

Click Sign up when you’re ready to sign up with your email address.

Step 4

Check your email for the six-digit registration verification code they automatically sent you.

Step 5

You will have 10 minutes to enter the verification code into the Enter code field. When you’ve done so, click Next to continue.

Step 6

Enter the password you want to protect your account with in the Password field. Click Next when you’re satisfied.

Keep in mind to:

Use a combination of numbers, letters, symbols, and lower and upper case
Make sure you follow best crypto security practices
Never share your password with anyone, including people claiming to work for OKX

Step 7

You can now access your OKX account dashboard. To get started you have two options:

Buy with card, which allows you to buy Bitcoin and 99 other cryptocurrencies with 92 fiat currencies.
Deposit: If you already own crypto, you can deposit from another platform or wallet to your OKX account

Step 8

Hover over the Trade menu in the navigation bar and select the option you’re interested in. Before you start trading, you will be asked about your trading experience.

Step 9

Whether you’re a beginner taking your first steps into trading or an experienced trader willing to experiment with sophisticated strategies, their demo mode allows you to trade with test assets. Hover over the trade menu and select Demo trading to access the demo trading environment.

How do I verify an individual account?

Getting started on the Web

Log in to your account at okx.com and go to the verification page. You can find it under the profile icon > Verification. On this page, find Individual account and select Continue. Opening verification page

Getting started on App

Open the OKX app, go to User Center. Go to Profile and Settings and select Identity verification under Profile Open the User Center in the top left corner

Account verification

Basic info
Provide basic information about yourself, such as full legal name, date of birth, country of residency, etc.. Please make sure that it’s correct and up to date.
ID documents
OKX accept valid government-issued IDs, passports, ‌driving licenses, ‌etc. They must meet the following requirements:
- Include your name, date of birth, issue and expiration date
- No screenshots of any kind are accepted
- Legible and with a clearly visible photo
- Include all corners of the document
- Not expired
Selfies
They must meet the following requirements:
- Your entire face has to be placed within the oval frame
- No mask, glasses and hats
Proof of Address (if applicable)
They must meet the following requirements:
Upload a document with your current residential address and legal name
Make sure that the entire document is visible and issued within the last 3 months.

When everything’s ready, you can submit your verification application. They’ll review it within 24hours and contact you with the results. How to deposit and withdraw BTC and other crypto assets on OKX

How do I make a deposit? (Web)

Log in to your account at okx.com, go to the Assets, and select Deposit
Select the crypto that you want to deposit in Select crypto field and deposit network in the Deposit network field, then select Next Select your preferred crypto and network that match your corresponding platform
Deposit details will then automatically generate
Select your OKX account in the Deposit to field to receive your transaction Select either Funding or Trading account that you want to receive the deposit
You can either select Copy to copy the deposit address to your withdrawal platform or scan the QR code using your withdrawal platform app to make the deposit. Select Copy or scan the QR code to make a deposit via your withdrawal platform

Note:

Make sure selected crypto and network on both OKX and your withdrawal platform are the same to ensure a successful deposit. Otherwise, you’ll lose your assets.
You can find the minimum amount, required confirmation numbers, and contact address on the Deposit page
You won’t receive your assets if you deposited the crypto amount less than the minimum amount.
Some crypto (e.g. XRP) generates a tag/memo which is usually a string of numbers. You need to enter both the deposit address and tag/memo when you’re depositing. Otherwise, you’ll lose your assets.

How do I make a withdrawal? (web)

There are 2 withdrawal methods on OKX:

On-chain withdrawal: Transfer crypto via network to a wallet or an exchange.
Internal transfer: Transfer crypto instantly with zero fees to OKX users.

Getting started

Log in to your account at okx.com, go to the Assets and select Withdraw Opening withdraw page

On-chain withdrawal

Select crypto to withdraw and on-chain withdrawal method Select crypto and on-chain withdrawal method to withdraw
Complete the withdrawal details and select Next
- Fill in Address/domain
  Note: you can enable whitelist mode to protect your assets
- Select the withdrawal network from available options
  Note: normally the system will automatically match the network for the selected address; if there are multiple networks available, you need to ensure the withdrawal network selected is the same as the deposit network in other exchanges or wallets to avoid any losses
- Amount
  Note: the withdrawal amount should be more than the minimum amount but can’t exceed the limit based on your verification level.
- Fees
  Note: the network fee can vary between networks and is determined by blockchain Fill in withdrawal details on the on-chain withdrawal page
Complete the 2FA verification and select Confirm, your withdrawal order will be submitted Withdrawal verification for on-chain withdrawal

Note: some cryptos (E.g. XRP) may require tags to complete the withdrawal, which is usually a sequence of numbers. It’s necessary to fill in both the withdrawal address and the tag, otherwise, the withdrawal will be lost.

Internal transfer

- Select recipient and account info (Phone number / Email / Sub-account)
- Amount
  Note: the withdrawal amount should be more than the minimum amount but can’t exceed the limit based on your verification level. Fill in withdrawal details on the internal withdrawal page
